Kuantan Port Welcomed Maersk’s TH9 New Service
Kuantan Port, the only container port on the east coast of peninsular Malaysia, welcomed Maersk’s TH9 new service connecting Songkhla-Laem Chabang – Kuantan – Tanjung Pelepas – Jakarta – Tanjung Pelepas.
Witnessing the maiden call of the Maersk Narvik this morning were the Kuantan Port management, Mr Chan Weng Yew, General Manager of Finance, Mr Wan Kamal Azlan, General Manager of Operations, together with Sealand – A Maersk Company Port Captain, Mr Surandran, Gateway Shipping Manager, Mr Rishinsa, and the rest of the Kuantan Port and Gateway Shipping operation team. A special thank you to the vessel master, Captain Md. Rahmat Ullah Shahidi, for welcoming the Kuantan Port team for a tour of Maersk Narvik.
As of today, Kuantan Port has seven weekly container services connecting the east coast of peninsular Malaysia to the rest of the world, and it will not stop here as Kuantan Port is on a mission to transform into a more competitive logistics hub.
