Dear Valued Customers and Port Users,
Kindly refer to the announcement regarding the implementation of port users’ responsibilities for stuffing, unstuffing, and Customs/OGA inspections.
Kuantan Port proudly celebrates a significant milestone as we welcome the first-ever cargo shipment from Tunas Manja Group—two containers of premium tissue products, directly imported from Qinzhou, China.
This landmark achievement, made possible through the Silk Route Initiative led by Beibu Gulf Holdings, marks the beginning of a new trade corridor between Malaysia and China. It strengthens economic ties and opens doors to new opportunities for business growth, logistics development, and global trade connectivity.
Arriving aboard the SITC Sunrise Dragon, this shipment reflects the success of the strong collaboration between Kuantan Port, Beibu Gulf Holdings, and Tunas Manja Group. Kuantan Port is confident that this partnership will drive greater trade flows, attract new investments, and foster long-term economic prosperity.
With progressive infrastructure development shaping the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Kuantan Port stands as a pivotal gateway driving regional trade growth. Strategically positioned along international sea trade routes, its role is further amplified by the development of the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP) and the transformative East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) megaproject.
This comprehensive development strategy not only streamlines logistics and enhances connectivity but also positions Kuantan Port as a cornerstone for economic prosperity in the region. As a game changer for Malaysia’s logistics landscape, it reinforces the nation’s standing in global trade networks.

In celebration of the upcoming Deepavali festival, Kuantan Port proudly organised a heartwarming community investment initiative, extending financial support to the students of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ladang Jeram, Kuantan.
This small but vibrant school with just 50 students, holds significance for us as the only Tamil school in Kuantan Port’s vicinity. Through this initiative, we provided cash vouchers to each student, easing the financial burden on their families and helping them prepare for the festivities with joy and comfort.
Ms. D. Sakunthala, the school’s headmistress, warmly welcomed Kuantan Port representatives and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the significant impact this contribution would have on the students and their families. The Chief Financial Officer of Kuantan Port, Mr. Chan Weng Yew, also emphasised the importance of such initiatives in fostering stronger community bonds and delivering meaningful, positive change to the lives of those we serve.
At Kuantan Port, we believe that true progress is rooted in uplifting the communities around us. This initiative marks a step forward in our ongoing journey to give back, and we are excited to embark on many more projects that bring hope, joy, and opportunity to those in need.
Together, we celebrate not just a festival but the spirit of unity, generosity, and community.
