Kampung Selamat is Kuantan Port’s closest neighbour, as the village is located just outside the port’s gate. The CSR event has successfully gathered nearly 100 volunteers from Kuantan Port, villagers of Kampung Selamat, port users, Lembaga Pelabuhan Kuantan, Kuantan City Council and Pasukan 2 Skuadron Pakar Pelabuhan.

关丹港的棕榈油泊位1和2已正式重启运营

After ten months of upgrading and refurbishing works, the 关丹港 historic structure was relaunched by the General Manager of Kuantan Port Authority, YH Dato’ Khairul Anuar Bin Abdul Rahman, together with Group Divisional Director, Logistics & Support Business of FGV Holdings Berhad, Mr Azman Ahmad and Chief Executive Officer of Kuantan Port, Mr Vino Kumar Selvabalakrishnan.

The berth was refurbished and renewed after more than 40 years of its operational period since 1981. It was a collaboration between Kuantan Port and FGV Holdings aiming to enhance the safety measures of the workers handling vessels at the berth.

Vino mentioned, “With the upgraded berth structure of more than RM12 million of investment by Kuantan Port and FGV, we hope that this important palm oil structure will continue to serve our clients for another 30 to 40 years from now. To achieve such projection pivotal regular maintenance and monitoring is essential to be done from time to time.”

As a port operator on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Kuantan Port is committed to supporting and generating the national economy from this palm oil terminal. This region has a high potential to pioneer the logistics and port infrastructure apart from creating realistic investments and positively contributing to the community on the east coast.

MoU for Cooperation between Kuantan Port and Qinzhou Port 1

关丹港与钦州港签署谅解备忘录

关丹港 and Qinzhou Port deepen the bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and China by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the Jointly Build a New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Logistic Node. 

The MoU signing was witnessed by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Y.B. Senator Datuk Lim Ban Hong and the Pahang State Secretary, YB Dato’ Sri Dr Sallehuddin Bin Ishak, at the MITI Tower in conjunction with Malaysia-China Investment Forum & The 10th Anniversary of the Establishment of China-Malaysia “Two Countries, Twin Parks”.

Kuantan Port, Chief Operating Officer Mazlim Bin Husin signed on behalf of Kuantan Port, while the Chief Executive Officer of Qinzhou Port, Zhou Yan, signed on behalf of Qinzhou Port.

Kuantan Port and Qinzhou Port will collaborate in long term cooperation, promotion and resource sharing between both ports by leveraging the New Western Land-sea Corridor, one of the corridors under the Belt and Road Initiative that connects 190 ports in 90 countries around the world.

#ProjekOrangPort 春节特辑

Kuantan Port celebrated Chinese New Yearby giving back to the community at three charity homes, Grannies Old Folks Home, Rapha’s Children Home and Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Terencat Akal. Their faces beamed with joy as they welcomed the #ProjekOrangPort team.

“Terima kasih”, Thank you”, “Xie xie” kept coming out of their mouths to express their happiness and appreciation for this visit.
