Kuantan Port is absolutely thrilled to announce the arrival of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) locomotives in Malaysia, marking a significant milestone in the project’s journey!
The six DF8B diesel locomotives, transported by the Xin Da Qiang vessel to Kuantan Port, are pivotal in driving the ongoing ECRL project forward, supporting construction activities and engineering works.
With its maximum speed of 100km/h, the locomotives are currently undergoing rigorous testing and later will carry equipment from the spur lines to the main line, making cargo transportation more efficient for the project.
